Is there a fee for rescheduling or cancelling my session?
We know that life is ever-changing and full of surprises; whether it be due to illness, the assignment being easier than you originally thought, social engagements coming up, dropping the unit, and so much more – we get it. All we ask is that you let us know via email with at least 72 hours notice before the scheduled session. Cancellations, no-shows, and reschedule requests made within 72 hours of the session will not be refunded.
How can I reschedule my session?
Easy, your booking confirmation email will have the option on it so just click the button and follow the prompts. Rescheduling must be done prior to 72 hours before the originally planned session.
What happens if I need to cancel my session?
That’s completely fine! Just click the “cancel” button on your booking confirmation email prior to 72 hours before the scheduled session to cancel. If the session has been paid for, the full amount will be held as a credit for you to use whenever you’re ready to book your next session. If you’d prefer a refund rather than a credit, shoot us an email and we’ll fix it up for you. Cancellations within 72 hours will not be refunded.
Are there any sessions sooner than those available on the website?
When sessions are cancelled and rescheduled by others, those newly free time-slots are first offered to those on the Waiting List before being made available on the website. Does it matter who I book with?
While most units can be supported by anyone in the team, each person has a few topics they love and are more across than others.
Atticus is the Research Methods and Neuroscience legend and is also fantastic with Honours theses. He loves supporting neurodiverse students (those with ADHD or Autism in particular), who he refers to as the ‘neurospicy’.
Peta an Leah know all the undergraduate units like the back of their hands! Peta is especially interested in child and developmental psychology.
Simon is a solid all-rounder, and he’s got great insight into studying in Europe too! As a bonus, he’s made Brussels his home, meaning he’s free for all the night-owls in Australia.
Should I send through my assignment and related docs before my session?
You can, but don’t have to. It can be helpful for your study coach to have a look over the assignment guide or your draft before your session, but if you can’t, that’s totally fine! We don’t want to add any stress, and if you want to be making edits up until the session starts, we get it; we’ve been there!
I want to book in advance, but I would prefer not to pay up front, is there a way to book now and pay closer to the session date?
We would never want money to get in the way of planning ahead and getting organised! Just email us at contact@studysupport.com.au so we can work together to organise a system that eases your financial strain.
Does it matter what university I attend?
Not at all. We support psychology students from a range of universities already, such as Deakin, Institute of Social Neuroscience, ACAP, Federation University, Cairnmillar, Monash, Swinburne, UNE, and more!
How much time should I book in to go over my assignment?
That is completely up to you! You can definitely discuss this with your study coach, but we will never pressure you into booking. Only you know how much support you need for your assignment and education. We typically find that reviewing an assignment takes approximately 1 hour per thousand words, if we haven’t worked with you before. If you have a planning session with us first, the review is typically halved. However, please know that this can vary widely depending on the assignment and the student.
What about collusion / plagiarism / academic integrity concerns?
We are incredibly careful not to breach any academic integrity policies with universities, but if you have any concerns you want to discuss, please reach out to us!
Can you write part or all of the assignment for me? Or can I send you my draft so you can fix it and send it back to me?
Definitely not. Our service is all about giving you the knowledge you need and empowering you to do your assignment yourself.
